technology (IT) is the common thread connecting all technology
sectors across the Florida High Tech Corridor. It’s difficult,
if not impossible, to find any industry, individual business,
or even an individual consumer that doesn’t depend upon
digital information and its pervasive, diverse applications.
Broad categories that fall under the IT umbrella include Internet
Service Providers, data processing and hosting services, custom
computer programming services and design services, as well as
computer facilities management services.
The Corridor is home to more than 3,700 IT companies, employing
over 33,000 people and generating a total payroll of more than
$2 billion.
