"Research Summary"
Ranking among the nation's top four regions for optics and photonics clusters, Central Florida supports more than 41,000 direct and indirect jobs in this industry. Coupled with the Florida High Tech Corridor Council's continued research contribution - nearly $280,000 this year alone - the sector continues to thrive along the Corridor. The Council funded six research projects involving six corporate partners, matched by more than $500,000 in corporate and institutional funds for a total of more than $786,000.
