Randy Berridge, president and CEO, Florida High Tech Corridor
Contact: (407) 256-4790.
Not many people would let Orlando Business Journal publish their cell phone number. Randy Berridge, president and CEO of the Florida High Tech Corridor, is one of those few.
There’s no denying the man is accessible, and he very much wants to talk to you, no matter what industry or what stage your business is in.
So give him a call. Chances are, if he can’t help you, he’ll know who can.
Best part of my job: Knowing there are hundreds of folks in the 23-county area that have my cell phone number. What gets me up and going is I believe we’re making a difference. And every once in awhile, you get to chat with a reporter, which is neat as well.
Project I’m working with now: GrowFL. The idea is to help stage-two companies wherever they exist in Florida do a better job of creating jobs. We’ve helped more than 250 companies in the state, and 25 of those have been Seminole County companies. The results of various studies say those are the companies that create the most jobs, the best jobs, the quickest.
Greatest challenge: Gov. Rick Scott vetoing money for economic gardening, but we put that behind us. We’re looking for funding for economic development partners. We believe we can keep this program going
