FLORIDA REGION CHOSEN AS A FINALIST IN NATIONAL
HIGH TECH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP AWARD
Program to arm educators with tools to introduce high tech careers to students
WHAT:
techPATH,
an initiative of the Florida High Tech Corridor Council that
focuses on cultivating tomorrow’s workforce, will host
a techCAMP that will provide educators with an introduction to
the Modeling, Simulation & Training (MS&T) industry
that they can use to get their students excited about career
opportunities in high tech.
During
the event, instructors will also provide educators with: suggestions and sources
of lab activities; career information for interested students; and descriptions
of the education needed to fulfill various job positions within the MS&T
industry.
WHO:
Middle
school, high school, community college and technical center educators,
and guidance counselors in the technology, engineering, physics,
chemistry and applied math and science fields.
WHEN:
Wednesday,
Dec. 6, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 7, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
